It’s not summer without grilling. These jalapeno turkey burgers are a summer dinner staple – fresh, flavorful, quick and healthy. If you’re a busy mom or plan on hosting friends for a poolside barbecue, this 15 minute summer cookout meal will be perfect.
Before forming the turkey mince into patties, I always pop it in the freezer for about 15 minutes. This helps to keep the meat firm and prevent it from breaking apart when you put them on the grill.
In the same sense, I don’t press the turkey burgers into patties until after the are on the grill. I shape them into balls and just ever so slightly press them a little flatter. Once on the grill, I will flatten them just a bit as they begin to cook. Nothing is worse than half your burger falling into the slats of the grill and causing a grease fire!
The answer is NO WAY! I prefer to buy 85%/15% lean turkey mince to prevent my burgers from being too dry. I grill on medium to low heat for about 5 minutes each side.
The most important part of any burger recipe is the seasoning. This healthy summer grilling recipe is packed with fragrant spices, fresh herbs and flavorful veggies. Every bite will be memorable – trustttt me.

I love to add a side of crispy oven fries, some roasted veggies and a spicy honey mustard to complete the meal. If you’re making these for meal prep, I keep them in the fridge for 2-3 days and reheat in the airfryer.
