The top 3 activewear brands I can’t live without!
Many years ago, practically a lifetime ago, I was nominated Best Dressed in the class of 2014. Yep, little ol me was honored to hold that title. Now a days, I still love a chic outfit, but you will most likely find me rocking some comfy, cute, and affordable activewear. I spend 5-6 days a week in the gym lifting weights and smashing out cardio circuits. I’m a firm believer that wearing a cute gym outfit boosts motivation and makes me want to workout even more! Don’t get me wrong – I’m a Lululemon girl through and through. But let’s be real, we don’t all have the budget for lulu prices. I’m rounding up my top 3 favorite affordable activewear brands so you can rock that stylish new gym ‘fit any day of the week without breaking the bank. Let’s get ready to reach those fitness goals while looking great! I’m going to breakdown price, fit and sizing, sweat and squat-proofness, and more! None of these brands are paying me to give my opinion and nothing in this post is sponsored. These are all my personal thoughts and experiences after trying many different brands of activewear.
I came across CRZ Yoga well over a year ago while browsing Amazon. Just about every piece is under $30 and nothing beats 2 day prime shipping! My collection of CRZ Yoga is about to take over my Lululemon collection, and I’m not one bit mad about it. Many CRZ Yoga pieces are dupes for Lululemon pieces at a fraction of the cost. My favorite pieces from CRZ Yoga are the Free Feeling Strappy Long Line sports bra ($24, size M), the Feathery Fit Running Shorts 4” ($24, size M), Naked Feeling I Legging 25” ($24, size S) and the Pima Cotton Long Sleeve Shirt ($24, size S).
In my experience, the shorts and leggings run true to size, but sports bras do run a bit small so I would suggest sizing up if you have a muscular build. I’ve found that the leggings are totally squat-proof. I have light and dark colors and I’ve found that none of them are see through. The lighter colors can show a little sweat, so keep that in mind if that’s something you don’t like. CRZ Yoga is always adding new styles, colors and restocking sizes. I’ve noticed things can sell out quickly on Amazon, so if there is something I want I will check their regular website for my size or a different color. CRZ Yoga definitely takes the cake for me as my favorite activewear brand right now.
Yogalicious is another brand that has items listed on Amazon. They are also super affordable (almost always under $30) and SO SOFT! I’ve noticed that the leggings I’ve purchased tend to run a bit big, so I would suggest sizing down. I always buy XS when it comes to Yogalicious. My favorite pair of leggings would be the High Waist Ultra-Soft 7/8 length with pockets ($25).
These leggings have more of a buttery feeling as opposed to a slick feeling that the CRZ Yoga leggings have. I’ve worn them for both strength focused and cardio focused workouts and they are totally squat proof. The darker colors are sweatproof but the lighter colors do show sweat. This doesn’t really bother me, but if it’s something you dislike, I would suggest buying a darker color. I love that these Yogalicious leggings have pockets so I can keep my phone, keys or airpods case handy during workouts. Again, you can order directly from their website, but nothing beats that 2 day free shipping with Amazon Prime!
GIRL, let me be the first to say that I truly think I like the Paragon Everyday leggings are BETTER than lululemon. First of all, these babies are BUTTERY soft like softer than any leggings I’ve put on this body. Now the waistband – that bad boy is tapered at the top and SUCKS YOU IN and your waist will be SNATCHED. No joke, these leggings shape your body like no other. I feel that they run completely true to size. I have a small in multiple pairs and they all fit amazingly.
I am 5’6” and they are a 7/8 length on the leg and the waistband hits just above the bellybutton. They are totally squat proof and not at all see through. These leggings don’t show sweat for me which is nice. The more I wear these leggings the more they completely mold to my body shape which something I adore. Having a pair of leggings that makes you feel confident and strong just cannot be beat. Now let’s talk price. I paid $38 for these leggings and used a discount code on top of that amazing price. Just go to insta and you should be able to find tons of discount codes for Paragon. Just a heads up, if you order something from a pre-order with Paragon, shipping will likely take 4-6 weeks. If you just order from the website outside of a special pre-order, shipping takes about 7-10 days depending where you live.
I hope this helps all my gym gals out there trying to look cute on a budget! I am always trying out new brands and new pieces of activewear – so stay tuned for my newest finds. Have a favorite brand that I didn’t mention? Drop it in the comments below or send me a message on Instagram. I love hearing from you!
