Pre heat oven to 350°
In a mixer, combine the egg, avocado oil, extracts, applesauce and sugar. Mix until combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking powder, and cocoa powder.
Slowly add in the flour mixture to the wet ingredients in the mixer. Mix until thoroughly combined and a big ball of dough is formed.
Chill the dough in the refrigerator or freezer for 30 minutes.
Roll into balls and roll the balls into the powdered sugar.
Bake for 10-12 minutes and allow to cool completely.
Melt the chocolate chips and dip the top of the cookie into the melted chocolate.
Sprinkle the crushed candy canes on top of the melted chocolate and allow to cool completely.
